County Logger Privacy Policy

County Logger is designed to help you keep track of the U.S. counties you have visited and to record trips. Your privacy is important, and County Logger does not use your information for advertising or tracking.

Location Information

County Logger uses your device's location to determine which county you are currently in and, when you choose to record a trip, to record information about that trip. An active trip may continue using location services while County Logger is in the background.

County Logger may store the starting and ending locations of recorded trips as latitude and longitude coordinates. It does not store a continuous GPS breadcrumb trail of your route.

Location access is controlled by iOS and can be changed at any time in your device's Privacy & Security settings.

County Visit and Trip Information

County Logger stores information you create or record in the app, including:

• Counties you have visited

• Visit dates and notes you enter

• Recorded trip names and notes

• Trip start and end dates and locations

• Counties visited during a trip and associated times

• Trip distance information

iCloud

County Logger uses Apple's CloudKit service to synchronize county visits and trip information between your Apple devices. This information is stored in your private iCloud database associated with your Apple ID.

County Logger does not operate its own server for storing this information.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

County Logger does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services. County Logger does not use your information to track you across apps or websites and does not sell your information.

Sharing of Information

County Logger does not share your county visit, trip, or location information with the developer or with advertisers or other third parties. Information synchronized through iCloud is handled by Apple according to Apple's applicable privacy and security practices.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your County Logger information remains on your device and, when iCloud synchronization is available, in your private iCloud database until you delete it.

County Logger provides controls for deleting county visit history and recorded trips. Deletions are synchronized through iCloud so that deleted information is also removed from County Logger on your other devices.

County Logger also provides backup and export capabilities for county visit information.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if County Logger's features or data practices change. The date at the top of this policy will indicate the most recent revision.
